Halogen - Highways Agency Logging Environment


Halogen is the Highways Agency central source for HATMS (Highways Agency Traffic Management Systems) logged data. This includes data such as matrix and variable message sign settings, Emergency Roadside Telephone and equipment faults and locations of equipment on the English motorway network.

Halogen provides a range of reporting tools, web sites and system interfaces to allow a user access to the Halogen data.

Halogen Browser
10 March 2010. Version 5.1.8 of Halogen Browser has been released, providing improved performance, network health check, and a number of bug fixes. Please note that users must upgrade to the new version by 16th April 2010 in order to maintain continuity of service. Support for the current version (Vn 5.0.4) will cease at that time.

March 16th 2010. Roadside Faults Display has been updated with a number of fixes and improvements. The search facility now includes CCTV equipment types in the drop-down list, timestamps now explicitly identify BST/GMT, FireFox now correctly handles the Road Section drop-down lists.
