Real-time services is a layer between the Databases and the Halogen client applications or tools. The Real-Time Services has many names, Services Platform is more commonly used than anything. This layer of infrustrature is a buffer between the databases which collect all the HATMS log information and the client applications like Halogen Browser.
The reason for having a middle layer is that the databases can concentrate on collecting HATMS log information and function will not affect the performance of the client application that want to view this information is their own unique way.
The below figure illustrates the part that Real-Time Services have to play in the bigger picture of Halogen, and the flow of data from the databases like HAL, Data Warehouse and Real-Time Database to the client applications.
