Telephone Call Re-classification - Dec 2008

We have updated Halogen to re-classify ERT (Emergency Roadside Telephone) logs . Based on certain characteristics the call type will be derived for report purposes. The new classifications are as follows:

Due to the new classification on ERT's, two HCCAi reports have become obsolete, however Telephone data can be retrieved from the Web Reporting facility. Details on how to do this can be found in Technical Note 401. The new classification of ERT's will improve statistical reporting of these logs in Web-Reporting and Scheduled Reports and be inline with the KPI reports required by the Highways Agency.

To find out more details on how reporting will be impacted, see Technical Note 400.
Web Reporting Enhancements - Dec 2008

As part of our continuous improvements programme we have made a number of enhancements to the Web Reporting facility. For example, users will benefit from an enhancement to the 'My Reports' section, which now allows the user to retrieve the report directly rather than relying on an email.

FEP Application Changes - Dec 2008

We will update Halogen to improve the robustness of communications between the RCCs and Halogens FEP. We will also increase Halogen's tolerance of non-conforming logs, both of these improvements will help to achieve longer up times of Real-time information throughput.

Real-Time Notification Service Upgrade (1) - Aug-2008

The Halogen real-time notification service has been updated to fix a problem with durable subscriptions which necessitated durable subscriptions to be re-created after a communication interruption. The service has now been fixed so that durable subscriptions are correctly restored on link re-connection without the need to re-create them. This change is intended to make the Notification Service run more smoothly and cut down on the number of unnecessary subscription creations.

Real-Time Notification Service Upgrade (2) - Aug-2008

We have enhanced the Halogen real-time notification service with additional subscribable topics (See the Halogen Downloads page for the latest version of the Notification Service Interface Specification): Equipment Status Topic - Three logs have been added to the Equipment Status topic:

Startup Shutdown Topic. This is a new topic and offers the following logs: Build State. This is a new topic and offers the following logs: MODS1901 : Equipment Software version

Web-Reporting Update Aug-2008

The new Halogen Web Reporting system has been updated with a number of improvements and fixes based on feedback from recent user trials. The Web-Reporting component provides an easy to use Web Browser based interface to the Halogen Reporting facilities and has many user centric features included. Web-Reporting can be used to report on both raw and derived Halogen data with email notification when reports are ready to download.
More details can be found in the user guide which can be found on the downloads page of the website.
