Real-time Information - July 2006
Halogen has launched a suite of real-time information services. The Halogen real-time OTAP, DATEX II and Notification are now operational. The services allow Halogen users to access real-time logged events from HATMS (Highways Agency Traffic Management System) equipment via system-to-system interfaces i.e. fault management systems or incident detection.
FEP in to RRC Trial Extended - June 2006
In a trail which commenced in April a Halogen FEP (Front End Processor) was migrated from Coleshill to West Midlands RCC. Locating the FEP beside the COBS brought the benefit of increased logging resilience between RCC COBS and Halogen and a significant increase in available log data capture rates.
The subsequent rollout of FEPs into each of the RCCs is now underway. The current state of this programme is as follows:
