Real-time Information Services
Highways Agency Operational Partners require for their own operational system processing access to HATMS (Highways Agency Traffic Management System) equipment setting, status and fault information. Halogen provides real-time services following the latest information data-exchange standards that deliver the Halogen logged HATMS information.
OTAP Service
The OTAP (Open Travel data Access Protocol) Service provides the latest information on request via a simple HTTP-request interface in accordance with the OTAP specifications. All data is returned in XML format.
The following services are available:
- Message Sign Device Setting
- Signal Device Settings
- Device Setting Request (SAC)
- Device Status Entry
- Link Monitor
- Logging System Status
- Active Message Sign
- Active Signal
- Active Fault
Note: The ‘Active’ information topics are specially enhanced data streams that aggregate setting, status and fault information into a single, comprehensive view.
DATEX II Service
Halogen’s Datex II Low Cost Profile Service delivers Situations from Signals (SfS) traffic events synthesized by algorithms which observe sequences of matrix signals. From the proximity, reason code and restrictive settings of the signals the algorithms determine if a traffic situation is in progress.

The information currently available is as follows:
- Message Sign Device Setting
- Signal Device Settings
